Casey Barbee - Senior Master Instructor

Picture

Born and raised in North Texas, Casey started playing golf at the age of 12. He was a multi-sport athlete in high school playing: baseball, basketball, football and golf.

Casey turned down a baseball scholarship to pursue his dream of playing golf at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Casey walked on and played one year at UNLV before he decided to focus on his career in the golf industry. He enrolled in the Professional Golf Management program in hopes of spreading his knowledge and skill of golf to golfers of all levels.

Casey graduated from UNLV in 2011 with a BA in Journalism and a minor focus in Golf Management.

Casey brings previous experience of working with the First Tee of Southern Nevada where he helped run junior golf clinics along with the Drive, Chip & Putt challenge. He also worked as the First Assistant at Spanish Trail Country Club in Las Vegas where he led their after school junior program and weekly adult clinics.

Casey is excited to join the staff at Jeff Isler Golf, where he can pass along the skills that helped him play in college as well as to be a mentor for the up and coming junior golfers.

Picture
Born and raised in Redlands, California, Nick Waldum began his athletic career a baseball player. Nick’s talent began to be recognized at age ten when he was recruited to play up an age class on a travel baseball team. Throughout middle school and high school Nick had a batting average of .721 and earned several stand out awards such as Athlete of the Year as a freshman. After a rotator cuff tear and six month recovery post operation, Nick traded his baseball bat for a golf club. A three year varsity letterman in golf, he was able to compete against the likes of Ricky Fowler.

After moving to Texas, Nick began his golf coaching career in 2009 at Bear Creek golf course, where he stayed through 2012. While coaching at Bear Creek he continued to advance his golf instructor education by obtaining his Titleist Performance Institute Level 1 Golf Fitness Instructor certification in 2010. Nick went on to become the Head Golf Professional at Frisco Lakes Golf Club from 2012-2014. While at Frisco Lakes, Nick also headed up all youth golf camps and programs, from marketing, to organizing, to the actual act of coaching. Finally, after a two year stint at Tour 18 in Flower Mound, Nick has been brought on to join the team of coaches at Jeff Isler Golf.

Nick resides in Denton, Texas with his wife, Dakota, three children, and his Great Pyrenees. Nick enjoys golfing, working out, and outdoor recreation with his family in his free time.
